The Great Shift, and an Eye in the Sky

Magnetic Fields, and the great shift of 2012:

Ah, some food for thought. According to Scientific studies, our magnetic poles have reversed themselves, apparently hundreds of times. Magnetic fields can disappear and reappear, shift and change at any time. And our field is weakening, and will eventually disappear. JEREMY BLOXHAM (Harvard University): The question is not if that's going to happen, it's when that's going to happen.

Could this be the great shift the Mayans were referring to? Of course, scientists say this won’t happen for hundreds of years. They always say that. Then, one day, like Global Warming, its ever closer!

Read on, and think about it!

Artificial Intelligence is all around us:

It’s true. Its not a myth anymore, though its not nearly as developed as, say, Cyberdyne systems. But, I find this very interesting, and you can think for yourself about the possible implications, derivations, or repercussions. But read here about the satellite ‘Earth Observing 1.’ Apparently, this ‘smart computer’ inside the satellite monitors the earth, and re-prioritizes what it is observing when something unforeseen occurs.

We programmed it to notice things that change (like the plume of a volcano) and take appropriate action," Chien explains. EO-1 can re-organize its own priorities to study volcanic eruptions, flash-floods, forest fires, disintegrating sea-ice—in short, anything unexpected.”

Bush's substantial Lie..

....Today, our Idiot in Chief is going to make a ‘substantial’ statement on Iraq. Hmmmm.

Yesterday, the Idiot’s administration ‘tossed out’ the mantra that they have been using throughout the course of the war: “Stay the Course.”

In two weeks, the 2006 elections take place. All across the country, people will vote, and the voting machines will hopefully not be rigged.

These days, people overall are very displeased with the republican ‘leadership.’ People are not happy with the war in Iraq, with the troubled economy, with the ever-present threat of terrorism.

Now, I’m the first to point out that overall, people are stupid. I mean, hell, we’ve had the Idiot in office for 2 terms. How stupid can people be? But, does the Idiot really think this will work? Folks, do you see what he is trying to do?

Let me spell this one out for you. The Idiot’s administration is hoping to capitalize on the gullibility of the populace and get people back on their team. They do this every election with whatever ‘hot button’ item they can find. They used Gay Rights to win an election. They used Immigration to win an election. Now, as the war in Iraq is the biggest hot button around, Bush figures he can simply change the view of the republican agenda and win back voters. For years people have been telling them that this war was foolish, and its been ‘stay the course’ over and over again. Suddenly, we’re not going to stay the course anymore?

Please. How stupid do they think people are? Folks, they think your as stupid as the idiot in charge! Not that I can blame them, but we can’t let them be right. Don’t fall for this dis-information campaign. Nothing is going to change but some buzzwords. And its all so the republicans can hold on to our government and exploit as much as they possible can for 2 more years.

You watch. At 10:30 EST today, the Idiot will make his bold statement. Don’t fall for it.

People are Scum...

Today, I want to talk about the idiocy of people.
So, today is like any other day.

I’ve got two little stories from the Massachusetts area that I think well illustrate how idiotic and obnoxious people can be.

I’d like to start with the people of Wellesley, a very wealthy town in this so-called liberal state. I’ll just call this section Wellesley versus Charity.
The basis for this rant is taken from a Boston Globe Op-Ed column by Brian McGrory. I like this guy. He uses very well placed sarcasm, and is a good read. However, the charity part of this little rant is something I knew about beforehand. So, let me explain that first.

Apparently, a good way to raise money for a charity is with what is called a Design Home. A building company builds a fantastically huge house, and gets all these fancy interior designers to, well, design the interior. Make it uber-opulent and all that. Then, tickets are sold for people to visit this Design Home. Get ideas for design, or find a designer you like and hire them. Also, everything in the house is for sale, as is the house itself (I believe). So, the builder gets his name out there, the designers get their name out there, lots of goods are for sale, Boston Magazine sponsors it and makes money off the advertising et. al, and the $25 dollar ticket proceeds go to the Home for Little Wanderers.

Now, stop for a second. Think about the draw here. Who would likely want to pay $25 and go see this home? Wealthy people. Keep that in mind.
So, last year, Boston Magazine and the HFLW did this same fundraiser in a town called Hopkington, a nice town, but nowhere near as wealthy as Wellesley. The town loved the idea, approved it, celebrated it, and it raised over $150,000!
So, this year, it was going to happen in Wellesley. Hell, I was going to go! But the town seemed to have some issues with it. In fact, they caused so many problems, the HFLW only raised about $40,000! What the hell was their issue?? Well, one rich bugger said this would draw ‘potentially undesirable people.’ Other’s thought their neighborhood would be wrecked (note, you couldn’t even park anywhere near the home. They had to set up shuttle buses so people could get there!). In the end, the town succeeded in wrecking this charity event. They forced it to shut down every day at 5pm, and was only open one day each weekend. Now, who the hell is going to go to this thing? People have jobs! Fund raisers usually take place in the evening!
So, basically, and this wasn’t the whole town of Wellesley, just the people who lived right near the design home, but basically, they ruined a charity event. Way to go, richies. You should be ashamed!

My second rant will be much more brief, but it involves the campaign for Governor in Massachusetts, and smear campaigns.

Now, most of you know, I’m a Deval Patrick fan. What can I say, I like him, and I think he’ll make a good governor. I certainly don’t like that hog Kerry Healey. I don’t like her, her politics, her face, or her methods. I don’t like smear campaigns either. And she is certainly running one (watch Deval Patrick adds. He says nothing bad about her. He mentions that things aren’t working and he can fix them, but nothing about HER. Now, watch her adds. They are all about HIM. That just sucks).

So, I generally ignore smear campaigns, but I was at my friends house when one of her stupid adds came on about Deval fighting for a cop-killer. So, I had to ask what the hell she was talking about. And here is the story, in layman’s terms:Deval was a lawyer. As a lawyer, you are hired to defend people. Sure, we’d all like to say ‘if I was a lawyer, I’d only defend innocent people.’ But, how do you know. You may believe someone is innocent, and later find out they aren’t. It is your JOB to defend. So, the story goes, Deval got hired to defend this guy. He believed the guy was innocent. He even paid for a DNA test to make sure. Sounds like a good lawyer to me. The guy was convicted. Deval still believed he was innocent, and wrote to the parole board about it. He was doing his JOB. Then, the DNA test came back. Turned out the guy was guilty. Did Deval continue to defend him? NO. Once he found out without reasonable doubt that the guy was guilty, he stopped defending him. This doesn’t sound like a guy who’s soft on crime. Sounds like a guy who was DOING HIS JOB! I’m sure many of us have believed someone’s innocence about something, and then later found out we were wrong. We can be wrong, you know. So, Shame on Kerry Healey for trying to make Deval look bad with this tripe. The guy was a lawyer doing his job. The End. Here’s the commercial.

So, in closing, I just want to say, people can really be scumbags. Its really just a shame. The Human race has so much possibility, and we as a whole come nowhere near what we could be. This is why I hold on to the great shift of 2012. This is why I wouldn’t mind a hell of a lot less people in the world. I have lofty ideas of what we could be, and I don’t think any of them are unrealistic.

All I have to say is....

I think we should all be afraid.

By the way, Kennedy was doodling '9/11' and 'conspiracy' back in the 60's! And they just brush past it, saying it was some vote count. Yeah, right.

And, finally, today's favorite CNN headlines: The Downfall of a civilization:

Fairy Tales are poison to our children...

According to this windbag, Harry Potter books are an "evil" attempt to indoctrinate children in the Wicca religion. She is using her big brain to try to ban these books from the school and town libraries. Thankfully, some people in the Atlanta area have a bit of common sense. Board of Education attorney Victoria Sweeny said that if schools were to remove all books containing reference to witches, they would have to ban "Macbeth" and "Cinderella."

Now, lets talk about this. First of all, this idiot obviously knows nothing about Wicca, not to mention not understanding the concept of 'fiction.' I just can't figure out this whole 'protect the children' hoo ha of the last 10 years. Many of us have seen the email chains about how children of the 60s - 80s are 'survivors' because we didn't have child-proof caps, helmets, etc. Nowadays, they're taking away playgrounds because they aren't 'safe' enough. And banning books? I mean, sure, maybe these books will do some good by steering people away from the bible bashing sects of catholo-christianity (you like that, Murk? I said Sects!!!).

But, enough of this whole fear of the unknown. If your kids wanna be Wiccan's, or Satanists, or Vegetarians, they will be. Harry Potter ain't gonna make a lick of difference there.

And I'd like to mention to the windbag above, and other parents like her: I read every book and saw every movie you don't want kids to see. And I'm no Satanist. You'd probably think I'm evil, but truth be told, I'm better than you, I'm more of a good person than you, and I'm a much more useful member of society than you. So shut up and get back to your knitting. Book burning went out a long time ago, and you should have as well.

Hugo Chavez: My Other Favorite Conspiracy Nut...

...ol' Hugo is at it again. This time, he's convinced that our Idiot-in-Chief George Bush wants to assassinate him. And, you know what, he's probably right. Apparently ol' Hugo's got friends in the white house, and they let him know the score. Chavez notes that Bush "has said that before he goes, Hugo Chavez shouldn't be the president of Venezuela. The president of the United States has said it, especially in recent days. What he doesn't know is that I have friends in the White House." Stay vigilant, ol' buddy!

In other news, here is further evidence that Americans are disgusting overweight greedy foodhounds, and corporations have no concern for the well-being of their customers.
