How to Handle a Conspiracy Theory...

....So, what do you do when people start questioning the validity of a major event or entity, like say the JFK assassination, the Pentagon, the 9/11 bombing, or, lets say, the Moon Landing? How do you handle it when huge groups of people start claiming this event was false, or a cover-up, a smokescreen? More importantly, how do you handle it when deep down, you know they are right?

Answer: Lose the 'evidence!'

Yes, that is an excellent solution. 'Misplace' the pieces of 'evidence' that 'exist' so that you can use only the memory of 'proof' to back up your story.

Ah, NASA, you guys really are geniuses!

The U.S. government has misplaced the original recording of the first moon landing, including astronaut Neil Armstrong's famous "one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind," a NASA spokesman said on Monday.

The tapes also contain data about the health of the astronauts and the condition of the spacecraft. In all, some 700 boxes of transmissions from the Apollo lunar missions are missing.

"We are working on the assumption they still exist," said John Sarkissian, a CSIRO scientist. "Your guess is a good as mine as to where they are."

They have also lost the original rockets they went to the moon on and the blueprints used to build them

I'm sure that 250,000 people who worked on the project were all able to keep the world's biggest secret.

Mmhm. Yeah. Right. Whatever.

Although... The Vatican has kept it secret that they are completely FULL OF SHIT for a lot longer than this, so... maybe it IS possible.

they just told you it was 250,000 people. they can't prove that either. sure, they'll give you a list of names, but really, c'mon. maybe 1,000 people and you know they were in on it!

I know we went to the moon because I was there!

But seriously. Don't you think the USSR was monitoring all this and would have LOVED to blow this conspiracy out of the water? Or were they in on it too?

Also, what advantage did it gain the American Government to fake lunar missions? All those people, bribes, threats, fake film, etc etc and it got them what?

If you say prestige and world approval... HA! The US don't pay for that. US go on an take it!
